Eden... that is is an amazing concept. Was there ever really "perfect nature" and if there was would it be like a park? Would humans be able to live in the park as if were always 72 degrees climate provided by central control.
Formal gardens like the one in you collage are "manicured," edges trimmed, like a bonsai tree each bud removed and the entire organism stunted.
My recommendations are to use Photoshop filters to see if you can create an effect that is even more like Eden or a contrasting "anti-utopian" Eden. I think that this would benefit from a horizon or some kind of framing of elements... to capture the "Inside a room" contaiment suggested by the original piece.
Hey I liked the idea of Eden. It's interesting that the bird is being caged, since Adam and Eve were banished from the garden - the exact opposite. I think its really cool how you made your collage full of lush grass and trees, while the original seems devoid of nature. It works, and deffinitely conveys the same idea.
It would be cool if you could add a filter to make it look humid or something in there.. I imagine Eden being tropical. Also it may be cool if you add some element of wood since that seems like a key part of the original. Maybe some how cage the bird since that also seems like a major part of the original. Becky
