Hotel Eden Paper
The room is a very old square shaped place. It is bordered by four brown pieces of wood. The room itself looks as if it is made of old dirty scratched up wood colored white. In the top right of the room sits what looks like an orange resting on two circular pieces of wood running almost the length of the room. In the top left of the room is some sort of fan with a black wire running down the wall and to the ground. There is also a picture on the wall that says Hotel Eden. Next to the picture to the left is black markings on the wall that are too hard to make out. The bottom right of the art is what looks like some sort of water dispenser, there is a pipe angled downward running to the left and ending in what looks like a place that holds water to drink from. In the middle of the room is a beautifully colored parrot sitting on branch looking into the fan holding the wire that it is connected to in its mouth. The wire runs from the fan to the parrots mouth and into the what looks like a water bowl.
The picture uses a lot of light colors and value. There are a good amount of squares in artwork he uses the space well but looks cramped for the bird. There is a good balance of white around the parrot giving the walls a smoothish texture. Overall all these things bring unity to the piece of art.
The Artwork is called Hotel Eden, before I opened the picture the first thing I thought of was the Garden of Eden. After looking at the picture it did kind of remind me of it also. It appears as if the orange in the top right is acting like the forbidden fruit not to be touched by anyone. It is like the parrot did touch it and is now being punished for it by being trapped in a room where it cant even spread its wings. The orange is like the reminder for why it is in the room in the first place. It looks like the bird has had enough of being trapped and is trying to kill himself by dipping the fan's wire into the water bowl while biting down on it with its beak.
Overall the picture is unique and odd at the same time. I think it is trying to say that there are many temptations out there for all of us and if you give into them then you will pay in some way that you will not be satisfied with.

Art Gallery
I was very interested in all the different pieces of art this large rectangular shaped room had to offer. It was a different experience i am normally used to, I'm not one who is crazy for art but will look at it if it's there. The first thing that caught my eye was this gigantic sculpture of the the left of the entrance. I didn't really know what to make of it at first it was this huge torpedo shaped piece of shaved wood around twenty feet long. It was sitting on a huge set of wheels resting at about a 45 degree angle. Bolted on the side of the wood at about the center of it was a big crank handle thing. At the tail end of the piece of the wood there was a metal hook with a long leather belt about forty or more feet long looping around to connect bake to the metal hook forming a circle behind the object.
Another piece of art that was cool was this pop up book with all the pages spread out all on the table standing straight up. Every page had a very unique set of pop out stair sets all intertwining into each other making many flights all up the page. There was also a very creative quilt with all sorts of colors. It was oddly made in the shape of an octagon but instead of having straight sides it had like half circles and 90 degree angles until it winded into the shape of an octagon. It was colored with brown for a border and blue, black, green patches all around. To the right of the quilt was three medium sized pictures of different parts of the quilt giving you a closer look.
Overall the experience of seeing all these different pieces and seeing how all these different people look at art and express it in their work was cool.
